Kiko RIP, but Entrepreneurs Live On

August 31, 2006

I am sure most of you by now have read the story of Kiko, the online calendar service that recently went bellyup and was sold on eBay.

Yesterday I had coffee in Somerville, MA with the two Kiko co-founders, Justin Kan and Emmet Shear.

Happily, they have not missed a beat. But a year out of Yale undergraduate, these guys have the learnings of their first entrepreneurial “failure” under their belt, enough cash to live on for a year or so, and already are well into their next gig.

Good stuff.
