Quantcast Announces Cookie Correction

The guys over at Quantcast have done it again — getting their math jocks to solve important and really hard web measurement problems.

This time, they have figured out “cookie correction,” or, in other words, how to account for the fact that the same viewer hitting a site from two different computers gets counted as two different viewers, thus skewing cookie-based audience measurement. They have released a white paper on their work.
